Obsessed with this new store, based in the fashion peak of the universe (in my opinion), BRAZIL. I am in love with the metallic pants, zig-zag print dresses and tom binns look alike tees. Gigi needs all.

DVF for GapKids

I recently did a case study on Gap and one of my actionable points of recommendation to the company was to do more collaborations with designers. I used the comparable to the successful collaboration with GapKids and Stella McCartney in 2009. I am thrilled to see that they have joined forces with an iconic designer such as Diane Von Furstenberg for their children's department. I think this was exaclty what Gap needed. Gap unlike any other retailer doing collaborations with designers, even Macy's, is able to maintain quality while bringing the unique design perspective of their collaborate. I can't wait to get my hands on some of these pieces for my Gigi. I'm dying over the shoes and sunglasses!

Happy Birthday Princess

The day I found out I was having a girl, I cried. My tears were filled with the emotions of happiness and anxiety. I knew my little girl was going to be one of my biggest challenges and thus far, she has exceeded my expectations in what it means to be challenged! However, I wouldn't have it any other way. I already admire my 1-year old daughter's strong-will, kindness, determination and beauty. 

Gigi, I feel like I've known you my whole life. You are that character I fantasized about in my dreams. You are my muse. You are my strengths and weaknesses turned into good use. You are my soul. Mommy loves you.

Spring is here, according to the fashion industry - which means all spring collections will be in stores by the end of this month. Some trends to look for in the kiddo category are Rebels, Analogue, Soul and manifesto. I provided some imagery to help you understand these trends. I also pulled some outfits from my own kids wardrobe that reflect these trends.

Dedicated to the ones I love

This blog is dedicated to the two human beings that gave me the inspiration to celebrate life again and pursue my dreams. I have always been an admirer of fashion and a believer that fashion is a form of self-expression. As a mother I am helping my children find their own style and form of self-expression through fashion. I believe my son has developed great confidence (for a 3-year-old), partly due to the way he feels in clothes. As they say in Italian, “La Bella Figura,” which means to always look your best.
